This is post 3679 - I can't see the pdf attachment. Would you mind linking to it?

ideas for a possible Hall Farm curve reinstatement?

What homes are those? Ones to the South of Larkshall Rd? I can't instantly see why any would need to be demolished

ideas for a possible Hall Farm curve reinstatement?

Why can't the track at Highams Park be lowered and the station rebuilt?

ideas for a possible Hall Farm curve reinstatement?

Running the Overground through Stratford and up to Meridian Water (and even potentially to Chingford via the Hall Farm Curve) is apparently an option on the table as part of a total re-jig of Stratford station.

    London Liverpool Street remodelling

What can they do at Christmas? I thought nothing could happen until the trains are running through the core?

    London Liverpool Street remodelling

Has there recently been some progress on this? I saw that there was going to be reduced overnight service on TfL Rail for a few months over Summer, and wondered if it was related.

    Class 345 progress

I think the Platform Edge Doors have train indicators on them to avoid that confusion.

Your suggestions for the next Southeastern franchise

I think you'd get hammered if you didn't plan around the passenger reduction due to Crossrail, so I'd be extremely surprised if bidders didn't come up with some assumptions around the timetable. Then the standard timetabling software (MOIRA) will give a good estimate of the revenue loss.

Crossrail opening delayed (opening date not yet known)

When does the Crossrail bit start?

Where would you like to see Crossrail 3 go?

I'm sure it will somewhat, but I think it's prudent to wait until we see that before allocating the capacity elsewhere. It seems always to be the case that 'spare' capacity never seems to be spare for very long. Great Eastern frequencies will increase as they'll have the extra platforms (15-16)...

Where would you like to see Crossrail 3 go?

I don't know why everyone is trying to divert/extend the Met. It's already full EB in the peaks (so shouldn't be extended significantly North/West), and the empty capacity is needed at Liverpool St WB in the peaks to clear the otherwise rammed platforms (so shouldn't be extended...

Crossrail opening delayed (opening date not yet known)

I wonder also if the testing of aircraft is much simpler, as there is plenty of 'network' capacity, whereas in general on the rail network, there is a limit to how much testing can be done at any time

    Crossrail timetable

Yes, and the number of times there are delays started by long dwells at Forest Gate and Manor Park shows just why these stations need the extra services/regular stopping pattern.

    Class 345 progress

    Why is that?

    Class 345 progress

It's back to a 345 today - is this due to the Reduced Length Units no longer being needed on the Western side?

    Class 345 progress

On a different note, this morning's 0756 Shenfield - Liverpool St was a 315 again today, when it is usually a 345. Does anyway one know whether this was: a) a fault with this specific 345? b) a 345 that has been transferred to the Western side? or c) some other unknown thing?

Northern City Line not fit for purpose

I would have thought the full 'crayons' solution would involve rebuilding platforms to twelve car length, then extending (as you said) from Old St to Liverpool St, then Cannon St (for Bank), then London Bridge, then providing a limited stop version of the Northern Line (E&C, Kennington...

I'm pretty sure the driver training won't have begun, given they haven't managed to energise the tunnels yet.

Idea for Watford DC Lines to NLL/ELL connection

The only people who would have a choice of NLL/ELL would be those travelling from Camden to Canonbury/Dalston - I doubt that would be enough of a market to warrant pairing tracks by direction. I think a next train indicator would definitely be sufficient for those (especially given you'd be...
