Don't forget that day will be affected by an overtime ban and the strike the day before. According to Real Time Trains, first two trains to Liverpool are at 07:43 and 09:43. Presumably the cancellation of the 06:33 (and 08:43) are due to that.
Demand for electricity will be higher due to diesel trains (221s) being replaced by electrics (805 / 807s) and the doubling of the frequency of trains to Liverpool. Is the supply up to it?
A 390 can be 'required' to run at PS rather than EPS for safety reasons if any coach is overloaded. Theory is that standing passengers might be at risk.
Has been the plan for quite a while, certainly long before Rishi cancelled phase 2. It can be achieved relatively easily as it is self contained and not connected to the existing network. Somewhat like the Elizabeth Line between Paddington and Abbey Wood.
You should read William Barter's excellent letters in Modern Railways. He gives very good reasons for why Euston needs 11 platforms for an 18tph service. Don't know what tph 7 platforms are capable of but it is not 18 tph. Part of the problem is the on board staff. Unless an inbound train...
Looks to me that not using Q codes on Monday was a mistake. Yesterday and today they appear to be using Q codes. Given the WTT has B, U and G for the "as required" services, it was probably a mistake of omission (not making a change) rather than anything else

An 805 was also being...
According to realtimetrains, 805002 out again today on:
5Q45 07:09 Oxley to Euston via Stafford,
5Q46 11:02 Euston to Crewe and
5Q47 13:16 Crewe to Oxley
Same as yesterday but with 5Q headcodes vice 3B90, 3U91 and 5G92
The initial service might be a self contained OOC to Curzon Street service but that will only provide 3tph. They want to connect to the WCML (at Handsacre), allowing 6tph, as soon as possible.
Para 19 on the report is telling:
While it was necessary to look again at the design and costs of the station in 2020, the budget for Euston station was fixed too early and too low for what was intended to be achieved.
I believe the system is capable of displaying the correct information at the relevant platforms, probably though with manual intervention. Needless to say it really should be done.
Whatever you fancy. Unlikely to be 24 tph beyond Paddington (or Old Oak Common).
For starters, I'd take the 24 tph actually running at the time and add 3 extra between Old Oak Common or Paddington and each of the 2 eastern branches.
