Those usually indicate that there are differences in stops, eg: removing some, slight change of route etc but could also be marked incorrectly

Best guess here would be from Lothian Road taking the 47 route as you say, as this would cover the filling up at Queensferry Street as eh1 says. I'd definitely bet that the 30 would go to doubles, as I can see this being the reason for the likely routing down the A1. If there had not recently...

I will also agree that a grain of salt should be taken with all of the VOSA registrations. Things like the 15 still saying Penicuik - Eastfield when it hasn't done that in years mean that there will likely be things that aren't quite accurate like the 47 still saying Crewe Toll for instance. We...

From what I can see on VOSA 2 changed to start at Hermiston Gait instead of Gyle Centre 4 extended to Queen Margaret University 10 changed to start at Ocean Terminal instead of Western Harbour 11 changed to start at Western Harbour instead of Ocean Terminal 15 has a registered variation but has...

Got an invite for the assesment centre! With the psychometric test what type of information do they throw at you? I think I'll be okay because my information retention is pretty good. what type of questions do you get in the interview?

That's good to hear! Just hoping I actually hear back now, fingers crossed! How do you find it as a work-life balance, it says 39 hours but I'm guessing overtime is available with the shortages!

Thank you! I have 3+ years of driving 3.5t supermarket vans all over Edinburgh and the Borders so a good amount of experience with bigger vehicles, though not quite as big as a bus! That all makes me feel very comfortable and sounds very welcoming, just got to hope I hear back from them now! I'm...

I have applied for Lothian as a trainee bus driver, has anyone got experience with the process that they'd be willing to share? Want to know what I'm getting myself in for!

I would have imagined it returning southbound as soon as it had opened as has happened with other services, but I guess due to how big the diversion is they might keep it both ways until its fully reopen which is unfortunate.

Yep, good to hear the 10 is staying as the residents of McDonald Road have been crying out for a bus for ages, even with the 13! The 8 going on London Street is an interesting route but the length it adds on isn't sustainable as you say. Hopefully once North Bridge reopens we'll see a lot of the...

Now that the right turn from York Place onto Leith Street has been restored, might we see the 8 return to its usual route? I think the current routing is great at providing links to Great King St and Dundas St and it would be a shame for people in that area to lose it. Same story with the 10 and...

From what I can see, variations have been registered of the 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 16, 22, 23, 27, 30 and 44 commencing from the 24th July. I'd speculate that the bridges services might stray away from the mound to ease congestion, not too sure about the 10, 16 and 44 though. Time will tell, I...

Has there ever been Lothian services in parts of Midlothian such as Pathhead, Humbie, Heriot and the likes? Have they ever served the borders at all? Just curious as I see Border Buses in Midlothian but Lothian seem to not do Midlothian apart from Dalkeith and Gorebridge

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

It might be interesting to see what comes of buses terminating in the city; for example, instead of having the 22 do Gyle - Ocean Terminal (OT), have one bus do Gyle to town, then another do only town to OT, with eventually having more eg limiting the amount of cross city services. We haven't...

Does anyone know about the 15 journey around 5pm that terminates at Atholl Cres, does this go onto another service like the morning run that starts out as an 11?
