LNR new WCML timetable, May 2019 (in open data feeds)

The emergency timetable only seems to cover Euston/Northampton, at least as far as their website shows. What about the rest of the network, have they totally abandoned it ? [edit] well the Trent Valley and Brum southwards at least have an advertised timetable at...

LNR new WCML timetable, May 2019 (in open data feeds)

Yes that's pretty much the sort of thing I was thinking of for an emergency timetable, across the LNW network. Then TELL the passengers what trains are running where and when. Instead of the present situation where a unit sits in a platform for hours, neither staff on the platform nor...

LNWR service from Liverpool to Birmingham and London.

Even having a workable emergency timetable to recover from problems would be a good start.

    WMR/LNWR Staff shortages

It's not because of holidays - for all of this month there have been numerous daily cancellations blamed on lack of crew. Although I personally believe it's more likely that the traincrew are in the wrong place due to the incredibly fragile diagrams, which fall to pieces at the slightest incident.

West Midlands Trains Class 323 refurbishment

Thanks for the correction, knew I should have looked it up before posting :) I found a description of the initial installation and noticed that it was supposed to have a day/night mode ambient light sensor, but hard to guess whether this is just broken or whether the LEDs have lost most of...

West Midlands Trains Class 323 refurbishment

Agreed the 323s are still good units underneath it all after all these years. Considering the dim and dismal present-day state of the unit fitted with the experimental LED lighting - is it 207 ? - I'm quite glad they haven't gone that route since it doesn't get maintained ! I did notice that...

West Midlands Trains Class 323 refurbishment

I had my first trip on a refurbished unit on Thursday, unit 202. Not exactly impressed I have to say, it seems quite a poor quality job. - the seats are still the same tired, squashed, saggy, uncomfortable bases, just with new moquette. - the public address amplifiers are still shot to pieces...

Students and Gricers took Over Branch

A few years before my own time in that place, but I have read that the Quy branch was the Fenland location for such extra-curricular activities.
