Those circuit breakers on the 400kV side are 'Live tank' circuit breakers as opposed to 'dead tank' circuit breakers which are more common (or certainly more common for DNO's).

For the country that invented the rail industry, it's embarrassing that in 2022 we still have major cities the size of Sheffield and Nottingham that don't have a single electrified line, it simply wouldn't happen in countries like Germany.
I'm guessing the new bridge has been designed to have enough clearance for overhead wires should the line ever see electrification in the next 100 years, that would be an oopsie if not!
