    They're obviously doing things totally different this time. I did the situational judgement thing on the same day I did my second set of assessments and MMI. A few internals I have spoken to have their DMI first before doing any of the tests.

    I have to disagree, I bought software online that was virtually identical to the tests I did and passed on the day. In saying that I didn't buy the two handed coordination one so I'm not sure how much use that one is. I'd advise buying the software and practicing a bit every day. Definitely...

    I never found out the official result for weeks, maybe six weeks or something it was ages. I think that was a clerical error though tbf. Most folk I know found out that day or the day after. Just phone or email and ask. I'm sure you'll have passed, they probably would have told you already if...

    Also worth noting you'd be on a training wage for a year or two anyway so you might end up taking a hit financially for a while.

    The MMI usually involves answering half a dozen questions on a piece of paper then being asked about them in more detail. Sounds like a DMI to me. I failed two DMIs before getting a driver job so definitely don't let it put you off.

    Aye it just flashes black so it's a test of concentration and reaction. The actual test lasts for half an hour.

    I used to be station staff, I was a grade b and I really liked it. The cleaning became a bit tedious but for me that was the only real downside. I think the GPR grade b is slightly different. You're there to provide cover where it's needed so you might not know your days off for the next week...

    Yeah I did. My impression was that it would harder to fail the MMI than to pass it. I may be wrong though.

    A DTM actively encouraged me to mention the attraction of the salary at my interview. There's no getting away from the fact that driving is a well paid job. Obviously it shouldn't be anyone's sole motivation but it would be disingenuous to say it wasn't a factor.

    All the answers I gave in my MMI were related to my work as a guard. There are lists on here of the likely questions so I'm sure you'll be able to come up with examples for all of them.

    I think you need to do three years before you can apply for a lateral move. Where do you stay?

    I think most of the time you'd either be starting too early or finishing too late to get the train tbh. There will probably a few mid shifts you could get the train in for though.
