Emergency Special Working or Temporary Block Working Rule Question Rule Question

Thank you for your reply. Just to confirm as long as the stretch of line is Track Circuit Block and at least two stop signals to pass Emergency Special Working or Temporary Block Working could be introduced even if there happens to be distant or repeater signal in between some of the stop signals?

Emergency Special Working or Temporary Block Working Rule Question Rule Question

Thank you all for your replies & sorry for the the abbreviations that I've since edited. In the Rule Book it mentions when passing two signals at danger that there can't be a distant signal but no mention with the Temporary Block Working or Emergency Special Working.

Emergency Special Working or Temporary Block Working Rule Question Rule Question

I understand that Emergency Special Working (ESW) & Temporary Block Working (TBW) can only be applied on Track Circuit Block (TCB) lines with two or more tracks & to pass two or more consecutive signals. Do the consecutive signals need to be stop signals or can it still be applied to TCB lines...

    Wrong Direction Movements TW7

Thank you again for all your replies. As I mentioned in my original post the way it's worded in TW7 in 4.2 and then directly after in 4.3 makes it a little confusing/contradictory in my opinion.

    Wrong Direction Movements TW7

In the Driver's Rule Book I find the following a little confusing as to when possibly doing a Wrong Direction move what speed you'd be required to do over Level Crossing with wrong direction controls. For example if doing a wrong direction move over a level crossing with X50 speed boards...

    Signalling Information Help

Thank you for your reply & I'm not disputing anything you're saying. In the SA (that is available to everyone except for the NESA site) under each Route Code there's all the information about that particular route except the signalling information. What is needed (in my opinion) is also...

    Signalling Information Help

Maybe but my point is that it's not readily available like the information in the SA when in my opinion it should be...... I've emailed NR (from my company email) asking for information regarding a part of a route but never got a reply........legal duty to cooperate... Really ???

    Signalling Information Help

I know some TOCs don't allow the use of the GSM-R whilst on the move (except in emergency situations). Really you would think that a TOC/FOC that pays NR to travel over their track that NR would supply the TOC/FOC with all the information for the part of the network that they'd be travelling...

    Signalling Information Help

Yes this is exactly the type of thing that is needed. When RL you can go from A to B & mostly get the same signalling sequences so can learn the route ok. The problem is when something goes wrong & you're required to do an unusual move or shunt especially in complex areas. Most of the time...

    Signalling Information Help

I did email the planning publications team at NR but have so far not received a reply (apart from an automated one). The RL maps we're given are good except for limited information regarding what the signalling displays for what routes at junctions, GPL's etc. When it's been raised with...
