Just saw this on twitter, person hit by a train between Paddington and Ealing Broadway (hoping for the best!) and as a result no trains curently between Paddington and Slough / Heathrow Airport.

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/117292.aspx

"There is no firm estimate yet of how long this will last but it is likely to continue until at least 12:30. When the line reopens, trains may be delayed until at least 15:45 as services return to normal."

Edit (1136am): just saw NRE's twitter just now saying all lines are re-opened now

They found a body on the line at Portobello junction, three lines are still under possession. Also there was a person hit by a train at Hayes & Harlington early this morning (3Z88); it appears they survived as they were later treated on the platform.

They've put a huge banner on the top of National Rail Enquiries about this, despite the detail now saying things are returning to normal. Who else thought the engineering works must have overrun again?

Is here any reason why some trains cannot be turned at Ealing Broadway? Would be better for passengers and they could use the tube to complete their journeys.

They have been turning some Turbo services around at Ealing for this.

The one at portobello junction was getting treated as suspicious :( not the best new year for GWR!
