Today was a very early start for me. I was at Lewisham at around 8:45am. I took the DLR, arriving at Stratford at 09:21. Soon, 66026+66130 popped around the curve, hauling the Transfesa "Blue Train". It was holding up a Purple Pauper 317 which was just outside Stratford. That went, then Freightliner 66538 came southbound and went down towards. Channelsea Jn. The 317 proceeded to plat. 10a and went on towards Ilford. No 86s :x. I also saw 90036. I then left and took the Central Line to Ealing.

Freightliner 66553 was hauling a very smelly recycle "Binliner" westbound. 66558 was DOR. Then 66049 passed westbound light loco. I decided to go to Paddington to go to some shops. On the way, I saw a smouldering grey 60074 with a very large EWS logo-is that animal a goat? Also, there was a double headed EWS 66 freight train at Acton Yard. Also 360205 is 5 coaches long.

After I went to Paddington, I returned to Ealing. The double headed 66 had disappeared. So I went to Paddington to catch the Chiltern service. Is there a name for the branch which runs alongside the Central Line?

I got to Paddington to discover that the Chiltern service was cancelled, so I took a 23 to Liverpool Street. It was one of those moron drivers who decided to stop at every yellow light and drive at about 10mph on a clear road. It took an hour to get there. I was hoping to see 90036 again at 14:00, but I got there a couple of minutes late . So I took a Desiro to Stratford. After a minute or two, Freightliner 57001 came round the curve. (I don't understand why this has been omitted from Freightmaster, when it's clear it still runs!). I stayed to see 90008 again, and the Turbostar which followed it (170 205). After that, I decided to head for Waterloo.

I got to Waterloo just before 15:20. I took a 455 refurb to Clapham. When I got off, I discovered that it was connected to a 455 non refurb, so I got a pic of that. I stayed for almost an hour, when I saw the diesel train which would form the 16:50 Waterloo-Yeovil service, I headed back to Waterloo to catch it. It was formed of a 159+170+170. I sat in the middle portion and we left bang on time, as did the 455 and 458. The 455 had an early lead, but inevitibly had to slow down near Vauxhall. The 458 was just slow. We even stopped for a minute outside Clapham Junction and it still didn't overtake us completely. I got off at Clapham. I then made my way to Charing Cross and took a train home.

Yep, they've been making some heavy discussion about it on the SWT Yahoo group. It is a rare occurance, but will inevitably become more common as the number of refurbs grows :D.
