I was on the 06:26 service this morning.
RTT listed it as 06:27 to crewe, and also separately as the 07:09 Crewe to Cardiff.
I could see no difference in reality, as the boards at Picc still had the trip as the regular Picc-Cardiff service.
Any explanation?

It's not an issue with RTT - it's an issue with what TfW have done. "Garbage in, garbage out", as the saying goes!

At around 10pm last night, TfW created an STP overlay which curtailed the service to start at Crewe - see here. Presumably this was due to not having the required traincrew for the section between Manchester and Crewe. Then around 5am this morning, they created a VSTP additional which reinstated the curtailed portion between Manchester and Crewe - see here. Presumably they now did have the required traincrew (perhaps someone volunteered to cover the shift at the last minute).

Whilst it's commendable that TfW prevented the service from being cancelled, the way they reinstated it meant that the likes of RTT wrongly show the services as split in two.
