Does any know why this service is using the Cheshire Lines Committee (CLC) route all this week (Monday to Friday) via Warrington Central?

According to open data sources (such as RealTimeTrains), it reverts back to the normal Chat Moss route on Saturday.

Apart from Manchester Piccadilly, it's always been a non-stop service.

Indeed it has, but I can confirm that there is an overnight closure of the Chat Moss line, this week and next. It happens two weeks out of six.
