2-part return: not using outbound

Hi,

If I buy an Anyday return A-B, is it legal/acceptable to throw away the A-B part and use just the B-A part for a single journey?

I ask because I've found that A-B rtn is significantly cheaper than B-A single.

Yes, this is fine. Also, check to see if the other way round is cheaper if anyone is buying a season. Every now and then, one direction is cheaper than the other because it's based off a multiple of the day ticket price.
