I had a day spare prior to an evening out and noticed my penultimate 444 was on Basingstokes so getable with a Travelcard. Got to Surbiton but a tiny lineside fire shut the show down for a few hours, so that went down the pan.

With no required 730s at Euston and the 379 services from KGX cancelled, I ended up at Victoria and managed to score a couple before signal and points failures shut down the SE side.

I'd spotted a low mileage Southern 377 heading south earlier, so took that to East Croydon on the 18:16 prior to heading north for beer and sandwiches.

I got back to London Bridge just in time for the 21:07 which had my last 171 in the line-up.

Basically a positioning day ready for an early start at Princes Risborough tomorrow, but a winning 197122 to Crewe then, after some mucking about and picking up a gratuitous new shack with a time-wasting return trip to Wythall, antepenultimate class member 168108 took me on the final leg to a (required!) Travelodge at High Wycombe.

03069 and 08825 did what they promised to do in the Tropic of Bledlow (C&PRR) and were duly ticked off.

A multiply-changing trip back north resulted in also scoring 165005 from Leamington to Solihull (planned), 730029 from Smethwick Galtonsbrucke to Wolverhampton (random luck) and Midlands refugee 323208 from Crewe to Manchester via Ringway (assuming it completes the trip as planned, still on it!)
