Since June 2023 it's been at the new Boden Rail yard at Colwick, Nottingham. I presume for repairs

Yep it’s at Colwick.

Since June 2023 it's been at the new colas yard at Colwick, Nottingham.

It’s the new Boden facility. Colas don’t operate it; they contract Boden for heavy repair of Class 37, 56, 70.

56087 has been out of use for longer than 302, maybe colas have given up on the 56's? I notice the Stoke - Crewe run is now usually a class 70, also the logs to Chirk was a class 70 last week

I’m not yet aware of Colas ”giving up” on the 56s. Notwithstanding the huge amount of effort being sunk into fitting them with ETCS…

Also worth noting that there’s an equal number of Class 70s stopped at Colwick too.

I Didn't realise they were being fitted with ECTS and yes they probably just have a shortage of loco's at the moment, thanks @D365
