The 57s can keep to Voyager timings, while providing significantly more seats. So why not bring some proper trains back to the route, Virgin? No excuses for overcrowded Voyagers now - we know 57s can keep to the timetable (let alone HSTs!)

I had a trip down to York on it (after a quick trip home from work to get my tripod ). The train was quite well loaded and as far as I could see none of the passengers were particularly bothered about it being loco hauled stock instead of a Voyager. The only problem I noticed was the air supply not working so the internal doors weren't working and the coach being a bit chilly due to people having the windows open.
