I have some photos taken at Reading, I believe Thursday 27 October 1994 of 60009 Union of South Africa. My diary notes: Steam to Ealing Broadway 60009. Cpild anyone give any further information? (Not on sixbellsjunction). Thank you

It worked a special from Kings Cross to Peterborough and back on Saturday 29th October 1994. Almost 30 years to the day that it was last in Kings Cross on the ‘Jubilee Requiem’ (24/10/64).

You are quite correct. 60009 worked the Worcester Shrub Hill-Ealing Broadway leg of a tour which originated in Hitchin. Reporting number 1Z36 05.15 Hitchin- Ealing Broadway. It then went ECS to OOC.The return working was 47764 17.11 Ealing Broadway -Hitchin.
