Is there any reason as to why there's been a 66 stabled in the siding at High Wycombe for a few weeks now?
Thunderbird?

Thunderbird?

Why would Chiltern hire a 66 as a Thunderbird? They usually keep a spare 68 at Wembley for that.

The 66 has been there since failing at High Wycombe on a Quainton-bound stone train and is waiting to be skated to Acton.

Waiting for a suitable path and driver availability probably. Would have to be moved overnight due to the speed restriction using a wheelskate.
