Passengers 1 Senior with railcard 2 children 11 and 12

All the normal TOC want about 90+ for the single journey
Trainline quoted about 55 but with a few changes en route

Am i ok to go ahead a get these.. having seen the new Fare Dodgers programme it looks like they take no prisoners

Getting the 09.30 out so quick response appreciated
Thanks

Yes, they'll be fine - likely they've found a lower journey which permits a lower fare, or set of split fares.

If you are following the itinerary given to you by an accredited retailer for the tickets you have then they are by definition valid and you cannot be penalised

@silverfoxcc. Single one-way ticket for Bracknell to Whitstable (route ✠Any Permitted) with Senior Railcard discount is £39.80. Two child fares are 2 x £29.90. Total = £99.60. Presume Trainline are offering some "Split Save" ticket split for a total of £52.85 (?) with a specific route. BTW, how you returning from Whitstable?

What are the exact tickets you hold? Which exact service from Victoria do you want to take?

Think the tickets issued would likely have been Anytime Day Singles, Bracknell to London Terminals (route via Staines) at £11.95 (Senior railcard discount applied) + 2 x £9.00 (child fares), then a Super Off Peak Single from London Terminals to Whitstable (route not via HS1) at £20.90 (Senior railcard discount applied) + 2 x £1.00 promotional fare for the two children. Total = £52.85. Changes required at Clapham Junction and London Victoria and maybe also at Gillingham (Kent). Looks absolutely legitimate and takes the quickest route that you'd likely take with a through ticket. Maybe the OP @silverfoxcc can confirm?

In short, yes, Trainline tickets are "kosher", but if they are issuing a split (identified by the blue split icon) you need to make sure you are aware of the restrictions that results in such as the need for the train to stop at the change point between tickets and if any are Advances the need to travel on the booked train only and not start/end short (as some TOCs like enforcing against that, particularly Northern). If unsure just follow the booked itinerary in full.

As others have said if you post the tickets and itinerary people here will be able to advise what you can and can't do, though make sure to obscure any ID numbers, personal details, barcodes etc.
