Hi all. I walked the full length of the abandoned and disused Buchanan Street Tunnel tonight with a friend. The tunnel is 430 yards long and served the former came out at Sighthill Park. I came across and took photographs of the what would have been the air vent for the tunnel which is located at sighthill park (with stone hedges blocking it at present above). I also took photographs of the other end which is completely bricked up. More details and all 24 photographs from my three visits to the tunnel (including last night's visit) can be found in the link below:

I love these old pictures, but also find it very sad, I can only imagine what it was like when the country was covered with railways.....

Great shot andgreat to see, keep em coming.

Hi. I am glad you like the photographs. I will be going around the abandoned and disused railways / tunnels within Glasgow first and foremost and then onwards to cover abandoned and disused railways / tunnels around the whole of Scotland and possibly a few more places down south I quite fancy visiting. I came up with a true conclusion last night to a few friends of mine, which was "there are more abandoned and disused railway lines (especially tunnels) in Glasgow ones still in in operation today which should be the other way about but its not". I'll prove that my conclusion is correct when I have found and fully explored all of the abandoned and disused railway lines / tunnels withink Glasgow. Thanks for the feedback;)

Best Regards
