Advance ticket Dunton Green to York

I have purchased an advance ticket from Dunton Green (DNG) to York. The route is maltese cross EC and connections. My reservation coupon shows the reservation on the Kings Cross (KGX) to York leg so would this ticket be valid on any train between DNG and London. Also NRE comes up with the northern line from London Bridge to KGX but could I use Thameslink to St Pancras then walk to KGX?
