Hi all,
Does anybody know whether Abellio Greater Anglia are deliberately holding back reservations and advance fares between Christmas and New Year or if they are waiting for a future date? They have opened for after New Year.
I have looked online and for Off Peak tickets it shows "Reservations not available" when reservations are requested.
This has produced some rather weird anomalies in the journey planners both online and at Ipswich Station. Some journeys only showing in the GWR booking engine and not online at AGA or at Ipswich Station. As the intercity reservations aren't open it has booked me on the slower, non-reservable service.
If the reservations don't open, would it be ok to use the tickets below on the faster services departing a few minutes before (but within connection times)?
Journey 1: HAZ-IPS on 29/12/2015 departing at 12.36 (First Advance VTWC&Connections)
Journey 2: WDB-BGN on 31/12/2015 departing at 10.18 (First Advance AP LONDN READING).
It seems rather strange as normally it would book you on the faster Norwich services.
Many thanks in advance,
Gareth
