Realtime Trains have the following limitations which I'd like to avoid:

1. It's mobile interface doesn't show the schedule time, forcing me to switch to the desktop site to see how late a train is expected in arriving the destination.

2. It doesn't show temporarily added / cancelled calls - it has no indication that a train is making extra calls or have its calls cancelled until the train is shown as not shopping.

On Time Trains do both, but unfortunately it can't process split / join trains which is a deal-stopper for me.

Does anyone know what website / Android app can show real time train information with scheduled and estimated / actual times, including added / cancelled calls across all portions?

It seems that ScotRail app may do what I want. Although it doesn't show all portions simultaneously it does join up the portions to form a complete journey, such as from Southampton to Victoria, with a caveat that in such case the time at the splitting / joining station can't be shown.

I'll check it again later if it can show unscheduled calls or omissions.

Or in detailed mode, turning your phone landscape shows the GBTT times.

Which has a screen resolution of 720x1600 when held normally. Which is presumably why you’re not seeing the additional columns, there’s not enough space. Whereas my Nokia has a 1080x2280 screen which does show additional columns like @skyhigh who I guess also has a higher-spec phone.

That was on a Samsung S20. To be honest I didn't realise that column didn't show on smaller screens- it shows up on my work phone as well as my personal phone so I assumed it just scaled!

Interestingly my Samsung A20 (resolution 720x1560) shows RTT info in portrait mode, but it puts the times for a single timing point above each other:

You need to click "go to detailed version" to see the information you wanted in point 1.

With regards to point 2, I'd be surprised if any app will be able to show you additional stops. To show them would require a new, validated timetable to be uploaded by NR at the request of the TOC with the new stops included, replacing the old one. I don't know about other TOCs, but mine doesn't bother doing this as there often isn't time. Any app that provides real time information is only as good as the source of the data.

You'll have better luck finding "fail to calls" as these can be shown on the existing timetable. National Rail Enquiries is quite good at showing these.

Screenshot_20220512-205159_Chrome.jpgThis is what I get on both my work Galaxy A32 5G which has the same 720*1600 resolution as the OP and on my Pixel 4A with a 1080*2340 display (screen grab from the Samsung). If I select detailed then I get both the WTT and GBTT times alongside the actual live info.

Physical screen resolutions on mobile phones (and other high density displays) are irrelevant. The devices report different resolutions to websites based on what an "ideal" resolution would be, and it's these values that are used to show and hide information on the screen.

End result is that a larger screen with a lower physical resolution will show more information than a smaller screen with a higher physical resolution - and that is what most people would expect to happen.

I suspect the industry data may be different from what Realtime Trains is using. Realtime Trains does not show cancelled calls which TOC app shows
