Just found a reason that I need to go to Blackpool in November, anyone help please with cheapest travel option.

On my way to work early yesterday morning I noticed a Colas class 37 stabled at Taunton Railway Station but given it was 6am the light wasn’t good. Decided to leave it till the afternoon after work to photo, but discovered it had gone. No phone to check RTT so came home.

Checked RTT at home and it had Returned to Taunton just as I had arrived home, knackered and with fading evening light I decided to not drive back. It was due to return to Derby today while I would be at work.

So that’s it, missed the chance for a decent picture Or so I thought. It’s path in the morning was cancelled, although I didn’t know till I drove past the railway station, there it was still at Taunton. Quick check and it had a path activated to leave in 30mins so I watch it start up and then leave.

Thanks, it was a fantastic event.

Glad I got chance to go to truck show too, if only few hours. Was a smaller gathering as they still want keep the main show in May. I always hope to see something I’ve not seen before and my prayers were answered with this.

The military train with the 7F wasn’t as impressive this year as last with the S160. A’s not many vehicles on due to the, being at different stations along the line. Manage to photo everything, will upload more pictures when I find the time out from job hunting.

It’s got to be the tram hasn’t it?
I went there loads of times in the 90s bashing 31s/37s/47s etc. But I still regret (being from the West Country like you) not taking a couple of hours and covering the trams.

Nowt exciting to report, recent bad weather and illness has put stop to any plans. Did manage to make it too the fair, always look in the lorry park to see what’s there. Delighted to find a couple old lorries.

Birthday 2moro will No plans other than getting drunk, then weekend WSR steam gala then Ibiza.

That Scania is quite something.
Although the little Gardner badge on the Atki makes me go a bit weak at the knees. Excellent excellent engines (good enough for a class 03).

Getting up at 6am to see Ibiza sunrise was worth it. Quite magical.

Not when you’re my age you don’t. Clubbing days are sadly over, still can’t dance. I much prefer the quiet part of Ibiza where the beer is cheaper.
