Anyone good with GIMP?

I'm making a signature picture for another forum with GIMP, but I've never really got the hang of it, what I want to do is put a logo I've made seperatly in GIMP onto another picture, but I just can't seem to do it, anyone know how I can do this?

Not used Gimp for a little while but if you made the logo in Gimp, could you save it and insert it into your picture with Photoshop. Will load up Gimp tonight and see if I can help further.

Yes...............so if you save your logo as a JPEG and click to export it, then you could open your photo in your usual photo editing software and insert your GIMP logo into it.
