Cheers James. :)

No I didn't hang around for The Purbeck Pioneer to arrive back in London. Didn't fancy getting back home at 11:30pm.

All but three of the photos I took at Acton Mainline were taken from the platform. The shot of 66604 was taken from the steps at the London end of the London bound platform. The shots of 66707 and 59206 were from the platform seats, which I was standing on to get above the high-ish fence that runs along part of the edge of the London bound platform.

Thursday is one of the busier days at Acton, Tuesday and Wednesday being the others. I've been advised that Wednesday is the busiest day there. Yes, those steps you see to the right of 59206 in my shot are the steps I was standing on for the shot of 66604. :)

I went by train and was on my own. ;)

That'll be amazing if Tornado does do the White Cliffs Christmas Luncheon Special. I heard rumours that Tornado might do something down this way, I heard either the July or September Cathedrals Express.

Yes, FGW HSTs go through Acton Mainline too, as do FGW 165s/166s, Heathrow Express 332s and Heathrow Connect 360s.

I'm thinking of doing the White Cliffs Christmas Luncheon Special, so it would be great if Tornado does do it.

A cracking little collection there Craig. Looks like it's well worth a visit, nice to see some none standard guage stuff, you seem to go to a lot of these railways. Haven't seen the video as my mobile is too slow for it

Cheers Matt. Bressingham is well worth a visit, fully recommended. The four different gauges make visiting more worthy as there are not many places (that I can think of), that have a selection of different gauges. The only other place that I can think of that has this feature is Hollycombe Steam Collection, which has a standard gauge running line (currenty not in use due to the loco that works on it being overhauled), a 2ft Narrow Gauge line and a 7.25inch gauge miniature railway.

I'm trying to cover all the preseved railways, museums, etc that can be done easily in a day. Railways that are further, and therefore not able to be done in a day, I hope to do when I can afford to stay somewhere near them. I hope to do all the preserved railways, museums, etc in the UK eventually!

Excellent photos & video, Craig.

Thanks Jon, much appreciated. :)

Updated my site with a couple of shots from today, one of RH&DR No. 6 Samson departing Dungeness and one of 20309 leading 20314 on 6M95 at Midley Crossing, on the Dungeness Branch in Kent.
