Are there ANY Heritage Railway extensions being actively pursued?

The line from Alnwick Lionheart will be extented to Alnmouth in the coming years. I was speaking to one of the guards who was saying they wanted it done by 2025 subject to approval and funding.
I know I'm a bit late of replying to this I just wanted to clarify a few thing about the Aln Valley
