We have exciting opportunities for Trainee Train Drivers at our Carmarthen Depot.
Our Train Drivers operate at the very heart of our service, to make sure our trains run both safely and on time and therefore we need people who can handle a wide range of responsibilities. You will work 35 hours a week over 4 days, working to a variable shift pattern including weekends, nights and Bank Holidays, therefore flexibility is essential.
Customer Service to our passengers, together with their safety, is paramount at all times, so were looking for people with the following attributes: -
Exceptional level of concentration
Ability to remain cool, calm and responsible
Strong communication skills
Commitment to delivering a great service to our customers
Able to work to strict safety-related rules & procedures
Ensure that a professional image of the Company is demonstrated at all times
You need to live within a 1 hour travelling time from home to your preferred depot.
You must be a minimum of 21 years of age
If short listed, you need to pass and Industry Standard Assessment Centre, followed by a medical which includes a hearing & eyesight test, colour vision and drug & alcohol screening. Proposed start date is September 2015.
There are 3 stages to the salary scale:- £23,949 during training, rising to £39.481 for further 2 years. Once fully qualified (after 3 years) your salary will be £43869.
