Well, its another year and another major degradation to bus services in West Yorkshire.
Not only has the 186 along the windy route between Wakefield and Castleford disappeared for most of the day, but now it seems the main route, the 189 is down to hourly from an already fairly weasly half hourly as early as 7 in the evening.
This is hardly late night - woe betide you if your hourly bus doesn't turn up, as happened to me last week. There was no tracking or information on any of the buses needless to say.
Try phoning metro line - no use, the man can't get through to the inspector.
Try asking someone working at the bus station "not our bus gov - Castleford runs that one " as though modern communications don't exist.
No bus, no information, no help. I ended up coughing up for a taxi on that occasion.
What the hell are we paying this company millions a year for ?
