Assessment Train shunter role for First Group

Is there anyone here thats a shunter for first group? And does anyone know if the assessments involve the pshycometric test?

Yeah depot driver moving trains around etc but she called them up and they said that they won’t send any practice papers she’ll see everything on the day and woking depot

Sge said the vacany only stated being a MB2 shunter, do u know the roles in that? Does it involve driving a train at 5mph? And that’s probably why they haven’t sent out practice questions for the assessment?

Sorry, can’t really help. Woking would be SouthWestern Railway, so no idea what an MB2 Shunter entails!
Our depot drivers have to do the full psychometrics.

MB2 shunter is a ground role @ SWR. Pulling points, signalling drivers in and out of the yard etc. No driving whatsoever SWR recruit specific depot driver roles so there probably won’t be any driver assesments hence not receiving the relevant practice materials

I have an interview for the above job with swr on Wednesday 16th. Information on shunting has been hard to come by. Does anybody have any shunting words of wisdom?
