Travelling to Cardiff from Bangor on last Monday (15h04 ex-Bangor) we were very surprised to hear an announcement just before we arrived at Chester that the train was not now going to Cardiff but Manchester instead, therefore we had to change at Chester!
I have never been on a train before when the destination has been so radically altered (terminating short is a different matter).
Does anyone know why this happened and is it a frequent occurence?
