ATW hiring Northern stock

Noticed 150215 in old Northern Rail colours working 1252 Manchester Piccadilly to Llandudno today with ATW traincrew.

Is this unit on permanent hire to ATW or was this an ad hoc cover?

Due 175006 failing just did a trip from Chester to Manchester and back during some lay over time at Chester

Must have been a minor problem for 175.006 - it was used in place of the Class 67 on the 16:50 Manchester - Llandudno (which started from Oxford Road.)

Wow. Northern have been on the news for short forming all of our evening peak services on the Manchester-Hunts Cross line, yet now they seemingly have enough spare stock to allow ATW to use one of their trains! Utterly outrageous!

It utilised a set which would have otherwise have been doing nothing due to the way the diagrams work.

ATW having being hit hard due to the storms and emergency repairs have had to cancel 22 trains today. I think they will use any stock they can get their hands on to help out in this extreme situation. Short forming is better than nothing at all.
