A lot has changed somewhat in 10 years in Melbourne.
D2.5002 travels through the Bourke Street Mall with a route 96 to St Kilda beach. Nowdays the D2s run along the 6 or 19.
In the railmotor yard 7015 shows of the then newish V/Line livery. A couple of roads over 7009 is in the Red/Blue V/line livery introduced in the 1990's.
A grubby and faded Y163 hauls a refurbished H set with eather PCJ491 or 492. Y163 only last year received a repaint. The PCJ was refurbished and repainted for use on Standard gauge Albury trains.
N471 in the red and blue livery is stabled around various carsets.
VLocity VL07 shunts into the sidings in the original livery and 2 car configuration. 10 Years later VL07 has quite a few more classmates and an additional car.
SW6.896 operate a route 30 to Telstra Dome. Nowdays the 30 has A class trams and 896 is now stored out of use.
Departing Flinders Street with a Burnley group train is an X'trapolis with 934M on the rear operated by Connex at the time. Connex would be replaced by Metro Trains Melbourne in November.
Siemens 777M leads an up Sandrinham train.
A mixed refurb Comeng runs a down Frankston service past the city loop portals at Richmond.
Departing Jolimont on a Clifton Hill group train is Hitachi 129M-1977T-179M - 21M-1909T-10M in it's cleaned up state with Connex stickers. They were meant for the scrapheap in 2006 but booming patronage lead to them to hang around for a while. When I say a while they lasted until 2014.
N452 and N472 parked up at Southern Cross.
Prototype B class tram B1.2002 runs over the Latrobe Street bridge with a route 86 to Waterfront City. It made it until the mid 2010's until it became a parts donor for 2001.
In the sidings sits PCJ492 and PCO2. Both these days are on Standard Gauge. PCO2 was renumbered to PCJ493
Passing the Phone Dome is a mixed Comeng set lead by 323M. In 10 years the background has changed significantly.
A2.295 arrives at the Spencer St/Bourke St stop with route 95 to Melbourne Museum. The 95 these days is known as the 86a due to Yarra trams getting rid of the unknown shortworking route numbers.
An unsual visitor to Spencer St is Z3.129.
A1.244 arrives with a route 75 to Vermont South. it woudn't not of been that unusual to see an A at the time but these days it doesn't happen all that much.
B2.2020 on Flinders Street with a 70 to Wattle Park.
Going under the viaduct is C2.5106. At the time the 5 C2 trams were loaned from the Mulhouse tram line in France. We ended up keeping them.
