Afternoon folks,

So good news Wolverhampton applicant, passed the VSE & M7 stage. A day after the deadline had passed I had a “results may take up to 28 days” email whereas previous stages have been 7-10 days.

Now the horrific news, the email they sent inviting me to the current assessment centre stage I completely missed as it landed in my spam folder for some bizarre reason. I know what people are already gonna say, “well you should really be actively checking your emails. I agree however I was just thrown by the “28 days” that I wasn’t panicking just yet furthermore, all other emails from opc I’ve received perfectly so I assumed that I hadn’t yet received a decision:(

So what I’m trying to say is has anyone else had this absolute stinker (I presume not)? Or does anyone have any other advice I could do? Before writing this, I have already sent an email to the admin email that was attached to the invitation email just basically explaining the situation. But any other advice would be definitely appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Nice one! Me and the wife did too for Liverpool. What date are you there? We did ours on the same day but the stage two dates are two weeks apart

Well done to those getting through and getting closer to the interview. Moving pretty quick for some of you!
Those still waiting, I guess be patient and wait for it. Eventually it will come.
The only frustrating part is that one placed in the talent pool (and depending on depot priority/requirements), I believe its a "first in, first out" type of system. So theres a bit of frustrating being lower down the list!

Liverpool applicant here. I completed the VSE and M7 on the deadline day of 24th March, and haven't heard anything since. Anyone else in a similar boat?

Manchester Applicant - think a fair few of us are in the same boat with receiving the 6 week email after completing the first initial 5 tests - don’t want to raise anyone’s hopes up but my gut feeling is that you wouldn’t have received that email if you hadn’t of passed the initial 5 tests as it’s far more easier for them to reject us. My opinion anyway.

Manchester isn’t a priority so it’s been put on the back burner. There’s plenty of people in this forum that have received 28 day and 6 week emails that have been rejected. It really is just a waiting game. As far as I’m led to believe no one has received anything back from Manchester after the 5 tests? Could be wrong. It does get frustrating having to wait though so I do get where you’re coming from. Best thing to do is, don’t get your hopes up at all and just wait on the email coming in.

Hi flyinscotsman, someone posted lasted week to say that they had a rejection email from Manchester along with others like myself who have received the 6 week email after receiving the 28 day email that’s why I was kinda thinking if people haven’t passed that initial 5 tests they would of got the rejection email instead of the 6 week email. Do you know why Manchester isn’t a priority? Hopefully they will still be going ahead with applications from Manchester.

Manchester probably isn't a priority for a couple of reasons: Manchester was one of the depots which had an intake in October and the trainee drivers from Feb 22 are only just coming through after their 16 week courses, they will have quite a few in their talent pool. No need to add more to the talent pool when other depots need more drivers. Also, with the delay in Crewe opening, any drivers which may have applied to move there from Manchester won't be going as soon as expected.

I’m a Liverpool applicant and after the first initial 5 tests received ‘you’ll hear back within 28 days’ and two days ago got the ‘you’ll hear back within 6 weeks’ email.

Meanwhile people I know have had the M7 and VSE tests, been to Crewe to do the psychometrics and been given dates in the future for their CBIs.

So I’m not entirely sure how the process is working.
Haven’t received a rejection email yet so that’s the positive I’m taking from it. Just putting it to the back of my mind ( after Ive posted this :D )

Did you do group bourdon test how did you much of it did you complete in each section..
Yeah I did. I counted the last set that I did and had done 12 rows. In practice before the assessment I was doing about 9-10 rows. It didn't feel like I went any quicker on the day though.

If you're due to go yourself, I'd just focus on going as quickly but more importantly as accurately as you feel comfortable going. Looking though the forum some people have done anywhere between 8 and 13 rows and passed.

Good luck to everyone who’s done the tests this morning at Watford. I have a gut feeling like I might fail the GB as one of my sheets had 10 lines and most others 12 so I slipped on one.

I might’ve also lost some concentration for a split second during the tones test but I think I subconsciously kept counting them but we should see.

Good luck everyone !
