Still not been moved yet.

Rumours say that if it's not moved soon English Heritage will declare it a national monument and it will be left in place for future generations to be reminded of the folly of the privatised railway system.

Wonder if it needs to be moved with barrier coaches with a brake pipe running through the unit like they do with brand new units?

Let's not complain about these units. Over the years their reliability exploits and subsequent recovery have provided me with hours of entertainment and amusement.

They're a better soap opera than Coronation Street.

I can remember one journey north, on Hull Trains, we left London in a light drizzle, and by the time we got out of London this had turned into heavy and persistent rain. This rain then started coming in through the roof somewhere, a occassional drip at first eventually becoming a steady drip. Staff running around trying to serve tea, (we were in first class) whilst trying to find things to stop the now steady flow from spreading beyond the seats affected.

On the Hull route 802s are a definite improvement, not perfect as others have pointed out, but just running electric from Doncaster to Kings X makes for a more pleasent journey.

I don't think the 180s have become any less reliable in the past few years on the ECML. It's just more noticeable now that the 91 fleet is only a fraction of the size it was, and the number of 91 failures on the ECML has decreased accordingly.

I’m assuming the rescue mission didn’t go so well - the move to Crofton was cancelled and replaced with one back to Derby, and Traksy shows the 180 is still in the loop!

I've drove past it quite a lot while it's been stood there and quite a few times I'm sure I've seen people stood beside it, guessing they were looking at getting it moved.

The unit has finally been moved back to Crofton, overnight last night I am lead to believe. Only taken 16 days?

Indeed it has:

Loco and presumably barriers too from Derby:

The unit back to Crofton Depot:
