What route would Bakerloo stock normally take to reach South Ealing? It must surely be pretty convoluted with several reversals, using more than one NR route on the way?

(And what would they be testing there on that old stock?)

Stonebridge Park-Piccadilly Circus (reverse)-Baker Street (transfer to Jubilee)-Neasden (transfer to Met)-Rayners Lane (reverse, transfer to Piccadilly) and thence to Ealing Common depot.

Most stock rotates around the South Ealing test track once a year or so for routine tests, mainly around braking capability.

3260+3532 on South Ealing test track for a few days
Ah, I was looking for this set last week on the Bakerloo but it didn't seem to be out (it was out the previous week), so this might explain it. I don't suppose you know what it will be doing next week do you? I'll be back down in London from Wednesday and only have 4 weeks before I move back up north so would be great to see it out somewhere as it's the last set I need.
Thanks, Chris

There is no way to predict what trains will be doing the next day, let alone in a week’s time. I would expect it to be back in the Bakerloo by then, but as yet there isn’t a return path back in the system (this has to be done overnight).

If it is still based at Ealing Common there is no guarantee you’ll be able to see it either. You’re best off posting in the relevant thread in the day of your visit.

No worries, thanks for the info. Been trying to get it on the test runs from Stonebridge Park but the normal return trip down to Elephant & Castle and back doesn't really give me enough time to get out of work at Ruislip when it pops up on Intertube :s

Thanks - I was overlooking the Jubilee link! I had visions of some convoluted route starting with NR track from Queens Park...

Would that have to be battery loco hauled due to incompatibility of signalling systems?
