So, I recently acquired a bardic railway lamp for 30 quid. It has all 3 lenses and works fine, but I can't seem to get the amber/yellow lens to show. Any idea on how to fix this?

There is a washer with a lug on it preventing it from turning to yellow. Undo all the screws on top, undo the screw on the switch and drop the interior part out. Remove the washer and put it back together. This should solve your problem.

Ah.. The good old Bardic. Such an iconic part of the railway. I used to enjoy making up some good lamps out of a few tired examples. Yours will be a 3 aspect, used by traincrew and shunters. As said above that washer stops the lens turning to show the yellow. The 4 aspect lamps were used by signalling staff.

The Bardic lamp we had in my Box (6 years ago) didn't show a yellow aspect, only white, red and green.
