Pret would be my Number 1 choice of coffee shop, just unfortunate that Manchester is the nearest one to me I think! Was surprised to get my coffee in a proper cup when I said I was staying in.

Is that the Pret just around the corner from Piccadilly Gardens?

I do vary my coffee purchases these days, since the price went up at Heathrow. Thankfully it was the normal price elsewhere, and it was the High Street price (that Piccadilly Gardens one being an exception) until recently at Heathrow. On the flip side, Heathrow Rewards points are added to my account far quicker from Pret than they are from Caffe Nero. Nero have their loyalty scheme though which comes in handy, especially with the double stamps when using your own cup which has been ongoing for a while. Then it comes to convenience, Pret's nearest location for me is in Worcester, Nero's just up the road from my house. And if I'm at the B gates at Heathrow, Starbucks is the most convenient, and Rewards points go on much quicker from them than Nero as well.

I've not stayed at a Pret to partake of proper cups, I'm not sure I've even seen such a thing before. Besides, if I can save 50p by reusing my own cup then I'd happily do that

If I had Pret in Hereford, or better yet Tim Hortons, I'd have a lot less money in my bank account  I've just had a coffee here at home but all this talk of it has me fancying another one!:lol::lol:

Get yourselves to York station and sample a coffee and cake from Filmore & Union. Top notch!

Yes it was the Pret by Piccadilly Gardens, the filter coffee is still 99p even though the proper cup may be a bit smaller. Only got Costas round here and on the stations, Caffeine rush on Carlisle station is a nice coffee though.

Ah yes, I remember that one in Carlisle. I vaguely remember it being good stuff too. Don't recall filter coffee being 99p in that Piccadilly Gardens Pret though, but it could have changed since my last visit.

Which has reminded me I need a few Metrolink trams yet...
