Bath Spa platforms

Last year Bath was closed to rebuild both platforms, reallining to reduce curvature and raising. Following this the up platform was extended by replacing the old structure that hung off the Bristol end of the river bridge. At the time there was a suggestion the down platform would also be extended using a similar method. Since then nothing has happened and 10 car Bristol trains don't fit the platform and require SDO. Does anybody know if there are still plans to extend the down platform?

Excellent thanks for the info. That will be an interesting engineering challenge building out over the river! I look forward to watching it happen!
