Okay, let's see here:

Best:

Virgin Silver and Red (current) (ties with GNER as my favourite)
GNER Blue and Orange with Gold lettering (ties with Virgin as my favourite)
First ScotRail Barbie (former)
First Great Western (current)

Worst:

Virgin Red and Black (thank god it's former!)
National Express East Coast Silver and White when it's on a Class 91 (although on a HST it looks nice!) (current...?)
National Express' ScotRail White. That was pretty bad. (very former)
SPT Carmine and Cream. A boring livery, glad it's going. (former)

Ok heres mine...

Best :
First Group - Ive just put First Group becasue i like all there new liveries - And as much as i miss the Wessex Liveries, and unlike anyone like EMT, FGW have at least introduced the 'Local Lines' theme to the Dynamic Lines...And admitedly i like the Barbie Sceme...

SPT - The Carmine & Creme was quite smart and gave it abit of a heritage feel which unlike Souther, looked smart...and suited the 156's very nicely...

and now im stuck for my third livery...as im not that keen on that much more..

I Suppose in this country - London Midland...

Not exactly in this country...Irish Rail / Iarnród Éireann...Those new 22000's look awesome and i really wish we'd get something that is quility & smart and designed around a Mk3 than a 170:o ...

Neutral - Virgin Trains...Northern Rail...not keen on Violet blue & purpley togher...Wrexham...ill make up my mind over that one when Marcroft ever gets a coach out...so far it looks very smart...but i dont like grey...

Worst Liveries...
National Express...bland,dull and who came up with those pointless 'Connecter' lines... also didnt they realise painting things that moove white only gets dirty quicker than darker liveries....

Stagecoach...never been that keen on there parrot liveries...and Why do they have to paint the top of the HST power cars to look like a 222:o

Sliverlink - yuck all over...Lime green and what they called Cadbury Blue...

London Overground...orange,white & blue...has alot to be desired for:roll:

South Eastern - Bland and does tend to show a we dont care that much about the appearance of our trains - plus, and this goes to Nat Ex aswell...painting trains white in urban areas like london just gives the graffiti people a blank canvas... a point most noted with South Eastern & Nat Ex East Anglia...

And finally Cross Country... The original livery plans didnt look that bad with the main colours of charcoal, silver & fgw pink doors...So why is there livery Brown, faded pink and grey-ish??? As for painting a HST into a Voyager livery...yuck...

As for the FGW 'FagPacket' livery...dont forget though that was just a quick vinyl over the original Intercity Great Western livery...either way i didnt mind it...

I agree that Grand central is awful, that American theme on our railways is awful, as is having DB Schenker liveried freight locos. Its embarrassing.

GC's is NOT awful - it looks beasty on the HST's
GNER, Northern, XC, LM amd TPE are all gorgeous...
NXEC, NXEA, ATW are all disgusting...

and the worst livery a toc award goes to connex which neither wore and tore well and the runner up is.......NXEC NXEA,but this is my opinion but i think the later NSE livery was very very nice and wore and tore well

I seem to remember an NSE livery which was brown & orange, hideous
i think your talking about the 'jaffacake livery' which NSE couldnt be bother to change and i got to admit looked more like an off-date jaffacake to me! and can i say im not sure but i think thats BR livery for the SE before NSE

WRT to the SouthEastern livery that I slated, I recently came across this photo, showing a much nicer livery. Hopefully they'll get the rest of their fleet painted soon...

Personally, I haven't yet seen a BR livery that I don't like, with my particular favorites being Blue/Grey (even though I'm not really old enough to have seen much of it!) and NSE.

I like BR blue-and-grey, and pretty much all pre-1980s liveries.

Of more recent liveries, I like GNER and Grand Central. Very understated, professional-looking liveries, they are my idea of what rail liveries should look like.

I'm also fond of SPT carmine-and-cream as it appears on the class 156s, 318s and 320s. I don't think it really suits the newer units.

My least favourite livery has to be NXEC, it's just unpleasant and jarring.

The way the yellow stripe on the front has been done is awful, It looks like it was just done as an afterthought, but without any actual thought put into it.
And I'm not really a big fan of the logo either, I just don't think it sits right on the side of the powercars, it just looks a bit awkward.
