Hi
Going to be travelling to Reading on friday 24th August, returning on the following sunday. Just wanted to know if it was cheaper to split tickets, as off peak was £48 return?

Splitting at Banbury will be £39.10
Birmingham Stns - Banbury: £17.40 SVR (2V)
Banbury - Reading: £21.70 SVR (5K)

This won't be a problem if you travel after 0930

You're actually quite a few quid better off splitting at Leamington Spa, Banbury and Oxford (all into Off-Peak Day Returns).

The OP is returning on the Sunday, therefore in this case the Off-Peak Day Returns would not be applicable.
