That's weird.
A modern tram en route to Fleetwood Ferry passed me at North Pier around 14:35, somehow the pantograph struck something where the Blackpool North extension joins the main line, resulting in the pantograph falling backwards. The driver was unaware of this and just thought he had lost power, with passengers just boarding as normal. Obviously the tram wasn't going anywhere soon.
A tram passed in the opposite direction as normal, this stopped at the next stop but didn't proceed, so assumed that the power was switched off for some reason.
Tram service had resumed by 17:35 so wasn't aware of any other incident.
