Bounds Green - Worth a visit?

Is Bounds Green depot worth a visit?

Is it close to the underground station?

Can you actually see anything of the depot from public areas or is it a waste of time going up there?

If anyone has been up there recently I would appreciate any information / advice as I am considering a trip.

Closest station is Alexandra Palace (GN Electrics).
From the road over just to the North of the station (Buckingham Road) you can see most of what is on the depot. Clearly during the day this is very little.
Taking the train from Alexandra Palace to Bowes Park (more to the point and back again)will reveal what is at the North end.
