Hi all
For those interested, here is a small selection of photographs from yesterdays Buses Festival at the East of England showground. Apart from a downpour around midday, the sun showed itself a few times enabling a few snaps to be taken.
It was great to catch up with a number of people and chat. I’m not sure that the venue is/was as good as Gaydon; that location has a lot more to offer in terms of space and facilities and of course the car museum but nevertheless the showground had decent facilities and a big shed where the majority of stalls could trade undercover. Unfortunately there wasn’t a lot of new stuff on offer in terms of books and models but those interested in model buses, the sample body shell of the Birmingham Fleetline by Rapido Trains looked really good and the models are due in the UK September time. Food options were limited and based on feedback, it was restricted to a dodgy burger bar .
Overall a good day with a number of interesting vehicles on display and worth the effort to get there.
