Stagecoach Cumberland have 20710-2 K710-712DAO, 3 Volvo B10Ms on schools work, new in 1993. The middle did have a spell in Manchester but think the other two are 100% Cumbrian.

fairly certain those two spent some time at Morecambe, swapped out for M-reg B10Ms

12 of Ipswich Buses Roe-bodied Leyland Atlantean's managed just under 24 years service, purchased new in January 1977 and being replaced by Dennis Dart/East Lancs Spryte's in November 2000. Real solid, reliable machines they were - could easily have lasted a lot longer, as was proven by open-top Atlantean 9 (MRT 9P), which retired in 2018 having clocked up a mere 42 years service!

That wonderful livery again... >>>

First Mainline withdrew their Dennis Dominators in July 2006 - some examples being of 1980 manufacture. (they had passed from SYT, to Mainline, to First Mainline through takeovers and privatisation).

Another local independent company, Leons, had some -T and -P registered Fleetlines which lasted until 2004ish. Most were second (or seventh) hand, but a couple had been bought new.

Not exactly the longest but Stagecoach Northamptonshire's 2004 built Scania N94s are notable for never having left Corby/Kettering depot.

Two more contenders

Llynfi Motors of Maesteg took delivery of YTG304, a Leyland PD3 / Massey in 1958. This was definitely still running in normal service for them in 1986. Not sure how long it lasted after that.

Between 1948 and 1951 Gash of Newark took delivery of 9 Daimler CVD6s (various bodies), and a further CVG6 in 1954. These almost all had incredibly long lives, most were still running in the late 1970s, and two of them even passed to Lincolnshire Road Car when Gash sold out to them c1987.

They were rebodied around 1960 but I bet parts for the Daimler engines were hard to obtain in the 70s/80s and the date Gash sold out may have been due to deregulation.

Volvo Ailsa A11 (CSU219X) ran from August 1981 to January 2005 with Greater Glasgow PTE then it's predecessors Strathclyde's Buses and First Glasgow. It may have been based at Larkfield Depot throughout it's entire working life.

Leyland Atlantean LA664 (HGD870L) ran from 1973 to 1996 or 97 with Glasgow Corporation, GGPTE, Strathclyde's Buses and the short lived GCT low cost unit when it was repainted in it's original livery at the time of the centenary of Glasgow Corporation Transport and it was regularly seen on the service 100 to the SECC.

Not my photos and credit to the photographers.

I seem to recollect reading at the time (the early 1960s) that there were still pre-war buses running at that time in the fleets of Samuel Ledgard, the West Monmouthshire Omnibus Board and, possibly, Gosport and Fareham ( Provincial), though the last-named ones at least were probably rebodied. Don't chide me if I'm wrong, it was a LONG time ago and I've had no connections to the areas they operated in. One I do remember personally from 1965/6 was when I stayed at a hotel in Colchester and saw a magnificent municipal machine in those dark brown Colchester colours that looked like an AEC Regent 1 to me.
