I had the same issue Lee. They wouldn’t budge. Didn’t reply to emails. Had to phone them. They said if I couldn’t attend then the application would simply be terminated. TOC’s get so many applicants they can be this ruthless I’m afraid.

I have received an email last friday, early evening, regarding that my first assessment has been booked in for the 20th May, I have a non refundable 4 day break booked from the 19th.

I emailed straight away asking if my assessment date could be changed to the 17th or 18th, also stating, if not, that’s fine i will cancel my break if this is something they can’t accommodate, however I need to know either way, as my family are still going to go but I need to change the already arranged travel.

I understand if this can’t be changed but a response at least would be appreciated……is this normal that you don’t receive a response?

Just received an alternative date

Thankfully they have given me an alternative date, thanks for the reply Dan, I was worried about that has not had a response but received a nice email tonight explaining why.

Can I ask Lee, how did you contact them for an update about your application, just for future reference because I wasn’t sure that’s something I can do. I just thought I have to simply wait for a response to either a yes or a no.

I finally got an email today that I have been shortlisted to attend a stage 1 assessment centre, but the email was forwarded (as shown by "Fwd:" in the subject). Still no reply to my other two emails though. Such poor communication that I'm considering not to move forward with this at all. Here's the email with identifying data removed for general information.

Hi mate, yeah I just responded to the email address from them, as they ask to reply to that to accept the date they give to you, where I needed to change my date I emailed them 3 times and then got a response. The only reason I needed to email them that amount of times was so I could arrange an alternative way for my misses to travel without me as I would have to join up with the family after as the break away has been booked for months. I was worried the amount I’d emailed though.
