Hi folks,

Looking for some advice for a journey I’m intending to make tomorrow - going from Cambridge (North) to central London in the early afternoon, then to Alexandra Palace (arriving around 7pm), and then back to Cambridge in the late evening.

Would it be valid for me to use a Super Off-Peak Return Cambridge - London Terminals (£14.55 with 16-25 Railcard - fare code FB), and break my journey at AAP, or would that not be valid? I don’t mind paying more to use the Great Northern route.

(I’m aware of the engineering works - that’s a separate issue!)

That's fine - there is rarely any restriction on break of journey on Offpeak type fares, and none in this case.

No problem with that as far as I’m aware

The best option is to take the Royston bus from Cambridge North (you don’t have to go to the main station) and then change for the non-stop to King’s Cross. Journey time is only ~25 minutes longer than usual.

Want you want to do is fine. For completeness, on your return journey you cannot double back to Finsbury Park or Kings Cross.
