Camden Station currently closed due to structural damage.
Its nice coming from HB branch and to sail straight through kentist Town and Camden Town.
What structural damage is there?

At Tufnell Park the driver did get confused and announce that the next stop will be Warren Street (think he forgot he stops at Morrington and Euston)

I hadn't been paying attention, so was quite surprised when my train went through Camden Town tonight!

A massively important station, both as a destination and an interchange, so they'll be working intensively to fix the issue I imagine.

Ceiling collapsed in the station control room I believe, fortunately without any injury to the staff working in there at the time.

Wouldn’t be surprised the large amount of rainfall recently might have played a part.

I heard an announcement at Waterloo saying Camden was closed due to "structural damage" - which makes it sound far more catastrophic like a tunnel collapsing or something!

The wording used was surprisingly honest in the circumstances. They could just have easily said flooding or defective safety equipment, both of which would have been appropriate.

One does wonder if TFL are starting to find that some of the works carried out under the PPP were somewhat superficial, with deeper problems perhaps being left unaddressed and hidden behind panelling.

The other day they did say flooding, so not sure why it changed.

How did TfL recommend people to change trains when the station was closed? It is a very important interchange to switch branches on the Northern line.

I didn't hear anything on announcements or see anything on the whiteboards. I guess if asked they'll tell people to change at Euston?

Wait 3 minutes for the train behind on the same platform
The 2 northern branches interline with the 2 central branches
Not quite, there are two 12min gaps each hour off-peak between Bank trains from High Barnet on a Friday, causing 9min wait from Charing X branch train onto next Bank.
