Around May time, I should be doing these two amazing lines again, and could do with some times for when the Cambrian Coast Express kettle does the coast.

Where's the best/easiest place to catch it from?

Do normal tickets (or privs) cover the Cambrian kettle? Or would I have to buy a ticket from them?

Is it better/easier to go from Buxton to Shrewsbury and slowly make my way up North again, or to start from Chester and make my way down and then back up home from Shrewsbury?

Are they better options/anything else you can think of?

I really have forgotten all this stuff, mainly cause I didn't plan it last time.

Thanks.

North and Mid Wales day ranger is valid on all lines west of Crewe and Shrewsbury. About £14 with a YP ot £21 for an Adult. Not valid on the Steam tho.

Give me a shout if your planning to do the Conwy Valley Line!
