My niece was given two LNER advance tickets as a present.

She now wants to change them to travel a day later but doesn't want to go back to the original purchaser.
You can't change on LNER website without it either being the purchasers online account, or without buying a new ticket and then requesting a refund for the original... which will then go back to the original purchaser.

If you go to a ticket office in person and show an eticket are you able to change it there? Or would they just direct you back to the LNER website?

Thanks!

I've certainly had online purchased tickets/e-tickets amended/excessed at a station before, with the excess issued as a paper ticket. Comes down to whether the booking clerk has been trained to do it (and is willing to do it rather than just close down and say "you need to go online").
