This service was cancelled between Birmingham New Street and Northampton due to lineside vegetation (JP).

This is a new one for me! Rugby area

In that case I am surprised we've had a single train service in the last 40 years!

Vegetation obstructing progress or signal sighting?

Tree has brought down the overhead wires, I believe. Differentiates between them being EG a fault with the wires or a fault with the train causing it.
